Before we begin working together, I offer a free 30-minute consultation and assessment where we can talk about what's bringing you to counselling and whether I'm the right therapist for you. There's no obligation and no pressure. It's simply an opportunity for us to meet, for you to ask any questions, and to see if we feel like a good fit. You can attend via Zoom from wherever feels comfortable.

At the core of my practice is person-centred therapy, which means you're in the driving seat. Our sessions are guided by what matters most to you, not by a rigid agenda or my assumptions about what you need. I provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore your feelings and experiences at your own pace.
At the core of Transactional Analysis is exploring our communications with those in our lives, both personally and professionally, how we receive communication from others and how we choose to communicate in turn and the effect this can have.

All my sessions take place online via Zoom. This offers flexibility and convenience, particularly valuable when you're managing health challenges or simply having a difficult day.
Research consistently shows that online therapy is just as effective as face-to-face sessions. There's no difference in outcomes, but there are real practical benefits: no travel when you're not feeling well, reduced costs, the comfort of your own environment, and the ability to fit sessions around medical appointments or work commitments.
Sessions last one full hour, giving us proper time to explore what's on your mind. We work together on a session-by-session basis with no minimum commitment, so you stay in control.
I specialise in supporting people to live well by supporting their mental health, with lifelong chronic illnesses such as anaphylaxis, allergies, arthritis, asthma, chronic kidney disease, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, early-stage cancer, long covid, chronic fatigue, Addisons, skin conditions, fibromyalgia, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism and physical disabilities.
If you have an acute illness such as later stage cancer, a severe life-limiting illness or are considering assisted dying as a result of your illness, I would refer you to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy as these are not my areas of expertise and there are many therapists with specialist knowledge and experience in these issues who are able to support you better.
If you're unsure whether counselling is right for you, or whether we'd work well together, let's have a conversation. The free initial consultation gives you a chance to ask questions, share a bit about what's going on, and get a feel for how I work. There's absolutely no pressure to continue if it doesn't feel right.
